So it's now official.... after lots of discussion and thought, Shane has accepted the offer and signed the contract from Barrett hospital in Dillon, Montana. When we visited there, we really liked the small town feel, the recreation and privacy, and it didn't hurt that it also has a University. We are really looking forward to moving there, however, Shane hasn't received his orders yet, so we have to take one step at a time since there are still some "unknowns" to work through. We are putting our house up for sale this next week hoping that everything will run smooth with the air force release and having our home sold. We spent three straight days over Memorial day weekend getting the house perked up and then took a break and went out on the ATV's up to Jim Creek and Eklutna Lake---two of our favorite places. It was beautiful weather...... we saw lots of goats and sheep. The picture above shows what we were spotting all over the mountainside! That picture was taken last summer----I'll put the pics up from yesterday later. Shane is back to work now and I am now spending my time detailing and de-cluttering the house. It would be great to sell this home quickly---that's what we're hoping for of course, but since Shane doesn't know his release date yet, if we sell the house fast (our neighbors sold their house in less than 2 weeks) the good news is we're stress free in the selling department, however, that also means we may have to quickly find a place to store our things and move into a small rental until Shane's done. Oh well, it will make an interesting summer anyway!
