Where is spring?

I'm having trouble posting the pictures I intended to put on here, so for right now I thought it would be fun to post some "warm weather" looking pictures since we're still chilly up here with temps between 20 and 40 degrees. Our snow hasn't melted all the way yet and a couple more inches were dumped in the yard last night. So, I keep telling the kids that yes, one of these days soon, they won't have to pack around their boots and coats to school, but not just yet. These pics are of Wake Island where Shane was deployed for a couple of weeks last summer. He has lots more of birds, the beach, etc. It would be so nice to be on an island just relaxing in the sunshine, but looking at pictures is the best we're going to get right now! On Saturday, we all went up to Eklutna Lake (Neo too) to walk around and play on the ice and snow and then we made the trek down to Anchorage to eat at our favorite spot, Moose's Tooth. It was great to spend the day with each other! Since we don't know yet how much longer we'll be here in Alaska, its nice to take advantage of any good time and weather to do some things outside and enjoy what we like about it. Until the next post.............
